A custom ceiling truss and lighting grid carries the heavy equipment for a boxing canopy or a concert stage, so those rigs are lowered and raised without disturbing the pitch underneath. That is what allows a league fixture one week and a world title fight the next.
The playing surface is a high grade hybrid turf system built to FIFA requirements. Seating is configured at 26,090 for football, with the bowl arranged for clear sightlines rather than maximum headcount. Combat sports and concert configurations seat differently, which is why you will see other capacity figures quoted against this building.
The roof retracts in full, which matters more than it sounds in a city where the draw is the winter evening.

Tickets and getting through the turnstile
- Mobile only. The arena does not accept printed tickets. Your QR code lives in the Webook app or the Saudi Pro League app and is scanned at the turnstile.
- Buy from the official platform. Webook for Riyadh Season events, the SPL app or official league partners for league fixtures.
- Charge your phone. A dead battery at the turnstile is the most common way people miss a kick off, and it is entirely avoidable.
- Check the configuration. Seat numbering changes between the football, boxing and concert layouts, so a block you know from a league game may sit somewhere different on a fight night.

Logistics
Getting to Kingdom Arena
The arena sits in northern Hittin, the same district as Boulevard City and Boulevard World. On event nights the road infrastructure around it closes in places, and driving to the gates is actively discouraged.
Metro and event shuttle
The recommended route. Riyadh Metro to KAFD station, then the rapid transit event shuttle straight to the stadium concourse. On a busy night this is substantially faster than driving.
Ride hailing
Workable inbound. Leaving is the problem: everyone requests a car in the same ten minutes. Walk a few blocks out, or agree a pickup point before you go in.
Driving
Discouraged on event nights because of road closures around northern Hittin. If you must drive, arrive very early and expect a slow exit.
