The annual Joy Awards, held at the ANB Arena in Riyadh on Saturday, celebrated Arab talent with a spectacular evening of musical performances and glamorous fashion. The 2025 event, part of Riyadh Season and co-organized by MBC Group, honoured the Arab world’s leading artists and their achievements.
About the Joy Awards
The Joy Awards are the entertainment awards ceremony of Riyadh Season, held in Riyadh as part of the festival. The ceremony honours Arab and international figures from across film, television, music and sport, bringing together stars from the MENA region and beyond for one of the headline nights of the Riyadh Season calendar.
Performances on the Night
The ceremony kicked off with a breathtaking performance by Christina Aguilera, who sang “The Voice Within” and her hit song “Genie in a Bottle.” The audience was captivated by her powerful voice and stage presence.
A highlight of the night was the collaboration between Lebanese singer Wael Kfoury and Canadian artist Michael Buble, who delivered a stunning rendition of Frank Sinatra’s “My Way” in both English and Arabic. Their performance was a true testament to the power of musical fusion.
The Lavender Carpet
The iconic lavender carpet saw a parade of stars, including international celebrities like Amanda Seyfried, Morgan Freeman, and Matthew McConaughey, who dazzled in their elegant outfits. Local talents also shone brightly, with Saudi actress Kate Siegel making her first visit to the Kingdom in a stunning pearly white dress by Saudi brand Abadia. “I wanted to represent Saudi Arabian designers and fashion, especially here in Riyadh, which is such an upcoming hot spot for Saudi Arabian fashion,” she said.
Lebanese actress Nawal Kamel arrived in a striking black and silver studded gown designed by her favorite Lebanese fashion designer, Joelle Nemnum. “I can’t believe I’m here. I’m very excited to meet the Saudi people up close. I know many people from Lebanon, but being here and seeing the locals, who are so different and incredible, is amazing. They are so kind and welcoming — they truly lift you up and take care of you. I’m so grateful to be here and to witness the Joy Awards,” she said.

Winners Chosen by Public Vote
The Joy Awards, Saudi Arabia’s largest event recognizing and honoring Arab talent, saw winners selected through public voting via an app launched by the General Entertainment Authority. The event celebrated achievements across film, television, music and sport, highlighting the vibrant creativity and artistry of the MENA region.
